Each pound helps us reach and inspire knitters from around the world to volunteer, it
also allows the appeal to buy much needed supplies for those knitters who want to help
but cannot afford the wool or needles. That represents incredible leverage for what you
can accomplish with your donation.
For instance, every £20 donated to The Jenny Chant Appeal can buy 20 balls of wool
that can knit 10 scarves which in turn would be sewn together to make a very warm
snuggly blanket to wrap a baby or adult to keep warm over the winter, or help with:
• Pay for needles to knit
• Pay for 1/10 of the cost of a mammogram
• Website improvements
• Pay for postage to get the scarves collected
•• Overcoming ignorance to this terrible disease
Best of all, many of the people we reach would not otherwise be able to volunteer.
Perhaps like you, they seek greater meaning and fulfillment in their lives, but their busy
lifestyles and unpredictable schedules make it challenging to commit to any
volunteering that requires an advanced time commitment.
